A New Year recruitment drive for the last remaining positions at the newly-launching Cheshire resort

The Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Knutsford is spearheading a New Year recruitment drive to fill its last remaining places for its new launch. Fiercely loyal to the local community, it is hoping to drive interest from the local region to boost the local economy and provide career opportunities across a range of roles within the luxury end of the hospitality market.

Following its current redevelopment, The Mere will welcome existing and new customers through the iconic arch in March when it opens as a luxury Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa, offering world class event facilities, golf course and spa along with a new build hotel comprising of 81 guest rooms including suites and three dining options across the resort. As an independent hotel, its recruitment drive in advance of the opening underpins its commitment to delivering an excellent and personalised customer experience at the resort from opening day.

Key positions for the new hotel such as Head Concierge, Head Housekeeper and Rooms Division Manager, along with the main front of house positions, have already been filled. The Mere is now focusing its recruitment efforts on securing team members to join these departments, as well as bolstering the food and beverages team at all levels for the two brand new restaurants due to be launched at the resort. These positions include chefs, a sommelier and wine waiters.

The Mere Golf Resort and Spa was purchased by the Boler family in 1984 and is an independently owned luxury resort.  From March 2012 the resort will offer an 81 bedroom hotel and two new restaurants including ‘Browns at The Mere’ and the ‘Club Lounge and Bar’ alongside its existing championship golf course, conference and event facilities for up to 550 people and a state-of the-art health club and spa.  Situated in the heart of Cheshire, the resort is close to Manchester, Liverpool and Chester.
