Cheshire's Mere Golf Resort & Spa adheres to the rich traditions and heritage of the game of golf, with separate weekly Ladies and Gentlemen's competitions. Each section is organized by a club Captain, and council of elected members who manage the handicaps, organize the calendar of golf competitions-including Trophies, Cups and Prize competitions-and various social events.
The Mere hosts exciting, weekly competitions for the Gentleman on Saturdays, with a club medal on Wednesday during the summer season. The Ladies host challenging competitions every Friday throughout the year, along with numerous Invitation and Festival days and many social events. Both the Ladies and Gentlemen's sections enter teams into local scratch and handicap inter-club tournaments. Golf club members may welcome up to 7 guests at one time for a limited number of occasions at reduced green fees.
The Golf Course at The Mere is one of the leading clubs for Junior Members, with more than 50 members participating in regular competitions held throughout the year. There is no better place in Cheshire to hone your skills and learn the game of golf than on the fairways and greens, with fellow Junior Members at The Mere.
