From the North
M6 - Junction 20 (Lymm junction). Take the A50 towards Macclesfield. Go straigh ahead at the roundabout (services on RHS) and continue straight down this road for approximately 4 miles. At the first set of traffic lights, the entrance to Mere Golf Resort and Spa is straight ahead.
From the South
M6 - Junction 19. Take the A556 (right) towards Altrincham and Manchester Airport. Less than one mile on the right hand side is the entrance to The Mere Golf Resort & Spa. Move into the right hand lane approaching the double set of traffic lights. Do not take the first right towards Knutsford, but continue towards a gap in the central reservation and turn right into the archway before the next set of lights.
From Manchester, Stockport M62/M56
M56 - Junction 7. Take the A556 filter lane following signs for Tatton Park. After approximately one mile, at the first set of traffic lights you will see The Swan Hotel on the left hand side, continue straight ahead. At the next set of lights, after approximately ¾ mile, take a sharp left into The Mere Golf Resort & Spa entrance.
By Train
- Manchester Piccadilly Station - approx 30 minutes from Mere
- Manchester Airport Station - approx 20-30 minutes from Mere
- Knutsford station- approx 5 minutes from Mere
- Stockport Station - approx 20-30 minutes from Mere
Manchester Piccadilly is the nearest main line station and is approximately 30 minutes from Mere Golf Resort & Spa. From Piccadilly a connection is available to all mainline stations.
There is a frequent train service (approx every 20 minutes) - operated by Virgin trains- throughout the day from London to Manchester: Wilmslow is the nearest station directly served on this service and a taxi ride to our Cheshire boutique hotel will take approx 20 minutes.
Alternatively travel from Knutsford Station to Chester - which is only 5-10 minutes from Mere. Please note that there is no taxi rank at Knutsford Station. See below for local taxi numbers.
